>>

deserialize and reserialize

>why would you use sql or nosql in 2017

i dunno, i never used it before is the only real reason
>>
https://isocpp.org/wiki/faq/serialization
>>

>>61879151
And where do you store your serializations?
>>
>>61879176
you serialize as an array
>>
>>61879186
Where do you store all your shit permanently?
>>
>>61879221
on a file on the hard drive
>>
>>61879221
a file or if i need the data at multiple places over ipc when an object is requested, if you needed it over network http is probably easiest
>>
>>61879151
don't have time to read all that shit. sql it is.
>>
>what language are you even writing in
>>
>>61879261
what a sad post...
>>
>>61879226
Hard drives are so slow baka, better use a ram disk or a high speed pci-e ssd

Mommy May.

I wouldn't faff around too much with databases if the data is simple. For a small search engine app I'm doing, I discovered it was easier to parse everything into a JSON file and load it all into memory.
>>
>>61879115
Are g tards seriously this fucking inexperienced and retarded.
>>
>>61879097
Look for some more robust database that don't use retarded strings to control it.
SQL is a losing battle against Mr.Bobby Tables, where ANYTHING that touches the database needs to be sanitized and sanitized hard, otherwise people will just input shit on your database that either destroy or download it.
>>
>>61879097
Neither. Stock prices are non-relational data which change over time. Use a time series database.
>>
>>61880291
You could try not being brain damaged, that works too.

This nigger gets it.
>>
>>61880487
I find it odd that so many PHP coders still use ancient mysql_ methods with manual sanitization (or none at all) to insert data into a SQL database. After all, PDO and prepared statements have been a thing for many many years already.
>>
>>61880687
I guess it's one of those things where a whole bunch of hosting firms who don't know any better don't want to have a ton of mysql drivers and therefore do the stupid but compatible thing. It;'s been so long since I've phped. Is PDO::mysql built by default?

You should use an Oracle database.
>>
>>61880687
Change takes time.

Get over it, Larry.

Store absolutely everything in a redis virtual machine with 256 MB of memory and 100 gigabytes of swap memory.
The only way to store memory

It may not be the 100% optimized solution, but I put all my stock data into PostgreSQL. Always available, easily accessible and simple to graph from.

You might want to try something new. I did not.
