>American website recommends laptop as great and affordable at $799
>EU prices start at 1500€
$800 is not great and affordable, that's low end gayming laptop tier, if a regular old laptop is costing that much there's probably some stupid gimmick to it

If I'm wanting some general fuckall laptop with windows and nothing else you can find one for less than 800 burgers, quick search on Amazon for laptops has the most expensive on on the front page has the most expensive one being $650, with about a third of them under $400, sure if you aren't flipping burgers $800 is "affordable" but you're getting a shit deal for it

I bough a thinkpad e470 for 780€.

See american prices. Multiply by 1.3.
See american wages for same position. Divide by 4.
Works like charm.
Such is life in europoor.
