Guys, talk me out of buying a Xiaomi Mi 5x

I like how it resembles iPhone (i'm a fan of the iPhone design), but it has an actually usefull OS. I don't play muh games on my phone, I chat on it, listen to the music and ocassionaly snap a photo with it. It's quite cheap and I already have a good opinion for the company since I had a Redmi Note 2 Prime. I liked how easy it was to flash a rom or root it, it was a nice phone overall but the camera sucked. I heard that there is going to be a Redmi 5a, I'm also considering it, but mi 5x is already out. What do you guys think?

A quality glass screen protector is absolutely worth it, to keep your screen scratch-free and it might even prevent it from cracking if you happen to drop your phone. A case is down to your own preference, it'll protect the phone body from scratches and dents from possible drops but it'll also make the phone bulkier and some might say it ruins the aesthetics.

18:9 is such a meme. I was about to purchase a G6 but then I saw it IRL. The narrow aspect ratio provides no advantages, the screen is barely wider compared to the one on my S5 Neo and consequently usability is barely improved.

Not to mention the fact that a 2017 "flagship" (G6) had a worse screen compared to a 2015 midrange device (S5 Neo). Sasuga LG.

At this point my choices are either a mint second-hand S7 edge, an Axon 7 from amazon.de (?) or something else.

Requirements: 5.5-5.7" display, preferably OLED.
Good specs (at least 3/32GB RAM/ROM, mid-rage to high end SOC and the like)
Headphone jack

I own one, on the whole I'm happy with it and the two different cameras are neat except that the screen has an issue with ghost images which thankfully is easily fixed with the app "Blue Night Filter - Night Mode". Other things to note are that some models aren't rootable in case you care about that and the replaceable battery means fucking nothing when fast charge exists.

Had the V20 for two days now. Pretty happy with it. Only complaint is the battery, which is removable so it's a non-issue.
Plus, the reviews stated the charger that came in the box was a QC2.0, but it never seemed to go above 500mAh for me.

/g/ays help me out. I have Nexus 5 that has worked great for me for the past 4 years. It's dying though, battery replaced once and the screen is coming out and the chassis is broken at the side buttons so i can actually bend the phone now. I like the 5" screen and don't need anymore pixels.
So I've been eyeing up the 5X, and sony's lineup. The Xperia X, X compact and X performance all look good to me. I'd like to stay under the $400 mark and definitely not more than $500. Anyone have experience with these phones?
Everything else seems to be fuck huge nowadays but i'm open to suggestions, maybe even arguments to get a bigger phone.
