Is slot the best screwhead?
>>61826723
No all screws suck by default because of mechanical wear and tear.
I don't think I've ever stripped a torx head. Are you trying to use the wrong size?

Can you read?
>No all screws suck by default because of mechanical wear and tear.
>because of mechanical wear and tear.
>wear and tear.

Quite the interesting shape.. what did they mean by this?
>>61826773
I don't give a shit about your dumb post, I wasn't replying to you.
Philips are easier to strip because they have sloped edges so they can work with slightly mismatched sized screwdrivers. Torx have flat sides and require to use the correct size screwdriver but are much harder to strip as long as you're actually using the right screwdriver because the entire screwdriver tip makes good contact with the entire inside surface area of the head.
Torx is best. As long as it doesn't have that little dink in the middle so you can't use a regular torx driver.

I wouldn't worry about it goyim.
Read the story of robertson screw inventor, and how he got fucked over sometime.
Robertson is pretty dope, desu
that's not hex
>>61826873
Nobody said it was
>>61826889
it's implied with 'best'
If the screw is stripping then that means it was made as cheaply as possible, probably with some copper and tin.
>>61826814
>roberston causes it to strip into a circle if it does at all
>hey I got another screwdriver for that shape too
>>61826723
Robertson is king
>>61826920
No you don't
>>61826904
Copper is expensive
No, this one is, when you don't have to worry about the finish
>>61826723
It's in my top 5
>>61826735
Troll or retarded? Screws are not meant to be removed and used over and over again. Once in a while for fixes, sure, but not on a daily basis.
So long as its not phillips or any similar style drive, I'm fine with it.
>>61827242
Get off my property.
>>61826723
Deep enough hex would be the best.
If you strip a torx screw you might be retarded.
>>61826723
You're a fucking idiot if you manage to strip a torx.
Also the best is the torx/slotted combo head.
>>61829228
>>61829238
Hex is better you can use torx to remove and put a hex on.
>>61829288
Hex easily rounds out. Far easier then Torx.
polydrive is the best. too bad it's only used for high-torque speciality applications while we plebs get this torx junk shoved down our throat.
bonus: can be driven with hex tools with more even force transfer than hex screws.
>>61826723
The very best is a triangle
But hardly anyone produces them because of patents or something
>>61829726
square > triangle
>>61830178
a square has more sides than a triangle
more sides = more round = more stripping
>>61830262
Why not go one sided then
