Really just want to get some practice in coding in different languages. I only was taught Java in uni, which is fine, but I want to learn Ruby and Solidity seems really cool too. How can I just start practicing with these? Anyone know like a site or something that has practice programs you can try to make that only take like an hour to make? I don't want some giant ass assignment that i'd get in a data structures class lmao...
Or maybe I could contribute to a real project? That'd be cool.
Go read a tutorial, open up your editor of choice and follow it. Then write an IRC bot.

Are people actually using Ruby? I'm playing with it in codecademy and its so fucking fun compared to java. Its like some dude was just sitting there in 1995 and he was like "javas cool but i dont need to type all this extra shit" so he just made ruby
its so slim and streamlined
