/trv/fag here, I was wondering whats the most upgradable and lightweight laptop out there?
>upgradable
lmao elemo
Laptops aren't really upgradeable per se, the closest thing you're going to find is which laptops hold their value best so they can be sold when you upgrade. In which case you're honestly looking at macbooks, maybe thinkpads if the meme takes off into the normiesphere.

>laptops aren't really upgradeable
Eh.
>travel
Get the lightest laptop that is powerful enough for your needs. If I had to constantly travel, I would get a macbook.
Hp 2570p

ThinkPad X220

some are, just not ultrabooks/anything near thin. you can upgrade the ram of shitty walmart laptops a lot of the time
>>61817989
Upgradable and lightweight are antonyms. Large gaming or business laptops have decent upgrade potential, some even have swappable GPUs. And lightweight ultrabooks are usually unupgradable, in some models you can't even add more ram or ssd. However modern ultrabooks that have thunderbolt 3 can use external GPUs.

Thinkpad x270 if you got the money or >>61818325 if you want a cheaper option.

Thinkpad X series has 1 ram slot and 1 2.5" sata/nvme bay. Plus a removable external battery and a replacable internal battery.
Haven't seen anything of its size beating that, other than similar business models.
>>61819906
Like you said, the HP (elitebook), Dell (latitude) and Toshiba (tecra) alternatives offer the same upgradeability.
>>61819906
IIRC the X230 and earlier have 2 RAM slots. On an X220 it's possible to add a mSATA SSD too.
