Why are there no decent apps or games for this piece of shit?

Becuase iPod touch was the first platform that made mobile games massive, as they were essentially portable game consoles for kids.
That meant that the majority of games devs were working with iOS.

Still you'd think they'd port them to Android
And even forgetting games, the amount of decent apps is small. Every other app seems to be made by a student as a project, hardly any professional and polished ones.
