My new build, it is about a week old now. All parts were new except the bottom 2 listed hard drives. The 2 smaller ones are in a USB dock and the 3TB is from my old build.

Using as general purpose for gaming (tons of different stuff) as well as my work as a 3D artist (3DS Max, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, Redshift, Marmoset) and some light video editing (Premiere).

My first AMD build, love the core count over my previous i7 4790k and it's much faster with my general workloads but have been extremely disappointed by the overclocking and memory.

I need 1.365v to get stable at 3.8ghz and it takes me all the way until 1.44v to reach 3.9ghz (and that still crashes occasionally).

My RAM is also rated for 3200mhz and is on the QVL for this motherboard but it will absolutely not go past the base 2133mhz. It won't boot at all past 3000 and anything in the 2200-3000 range will boot but inevitably bluescreen when loading anything but windows shit into RAM. Even a youtube video will instantly bluescreen.

I'm disappointed for sure with those aspects but still very happy with the speed increase I've gotten with the doubling of my core count. This is very noticeable with Substance Painter as the time it takes to recalculate layer stacks or texture sets is easily cut down to 40% of what it was before.

Also one little quirk, which I call my 3.8ghz stable, and it is stable in everything I use, games and various renderers) prime, cinebench, etc. It always has a crash to reboot when using VRay to render. No idea why when other stuff pushes the CPU to 100% just fine, but I also experienced occasional crash to reboot even on my old 4790k. I think VRay shits the bed when you're overclocked or something.

The 4GB is temporary because was having trouble with dual channel. Just gotta finish installing shit, then restart, and it should be good from there.
