I have tried gnome shell like 2 or 3 weeks, it have some things what I like but there are more things that disgust me. (Tray icons, waste a lot space, notification panel require 2 clicks for everything, most options are hidden, window buttons opposite to dock, etc...)

and it doesn't look customizable for me, not without a ton of addons.

It is not for me :/

XFCE is for fags that like screen tearing.
GNOME is for fags that don't have multiple monitors, because GNOME has less configurability than fucking fischer-price.

Literally only KDE and Unity can scale the UI by 1.5x, 1.2x, and so on. The rest of DEs can't even compete. Gnome, Cinnamon can only scale by 2x, and XFCE, MATE can't scale at all.
>>

You CAN change things, but it's a pain in the ass to do so. Adjusting the UI is most of the pain of web development without the benefits, and making light tweaks to functionality is annoying because it's so insistent on maintaining its screen wasting core design. It's led to this horrific ecosystem where changing nearly anything requires a grossly overengineered plugin, like a cheap facsimile of mobile phone app stores.
GNOME devs just want to pad their resumes so Apple will hire them.

Yes, and the operating system will use it for caching if nothing else uses it. Desktop eating more RAM and saying "its supposed to be used!!" is a stupid argument. That is just more RAM away from other software and can't even be used for caching. RAM should be used, but it doesn't mean your software should use as much as possible
