Hi /g/
If I wanted to keep a game on a USB, something small like a visual novel, and then keep it on said USB indefinitely how long can I expect that USB to hold that information without degrading?
Longer than you'd live
Idk how long a USB will last, but I know a disk will last pretty much indefinitely. Why not use a CD?

Smaller and more convenient to use a USB in this case
It won't degrade, if you put something on it and never write anything to it then it should last for thousand of years.
If you're going to store that data offline (no power) then maybe a maximum of six month before any degraded NAND cells start losing charge.
If you're using it on occasion then yeah, it's going to last a long, long time.

(you)ing here
If it's a USB with 3D NAND, the data should last even longer because the way the cells store data is more advanced and less prone to degradation from writes.

Print the binary data on paper and make a book out of it
Give it your mom to read
