eh enough, not really like the 600 benefits from being properly powered that much. Many people will say it does but I've seen a bigger jump from my schiit stack to my NFB.11 with my t1 tesla gen 2s

Considering the HD600 can take ~220mw at 300ohm max input. 40mw really is fairly low. It'll make noise, but you'll likely get clipping
