i installed xubuntu because i asked my roommate what she recommends. she said it was the fastest and most reliable distro that still has a "windows-like" feel. i'm happy with it. the only gaymen i do is tf2 which runs on the steam virtual OS or whatever that thing is.

i still keep windows 10 on a separate partition "just in case" but i think i've only had to boot into it twice this past year

the only thing i really miss is microsoft office. libreoffice gets the job done but something about it feels very clunky and pales in comparison to office

Mint is the best normie friendly OS. Low maintenance and actually looks good out of the box (enable the dark theme)
