Newly accepted student here who is going to major as an automation specialist. Anyone else on this board got the same job/education? What can I expect in the future and how is the general work day as an automation specialist like? Someone mentioned that I would undergo a lot of PLC and DCS work, what is that?

No one is going to help you with your homework.

what kind of shitty community college offer an 'automation specialist' major
you'll just be a fucking electrician pretending to do software engineering
you'll be trained on the clusterfuck abortion that is ladder logic, a 'programming language' for the electrician audience
basically you have made some poor life choices
