Now I have several thousand to spend on training, but I have to spend the money on one of their approved 'providers'. Basically, community college courses, coding boot camps or internship (grant will be my salary) if I can find one.
What should I do? Community college program is PHP oriented (meh). Coding bootcamps are either Python or Node.js. I'd prefer just getting an internship but I have no idea where to find one.

This online course is pretty good (and at this on-sale price it's definitely worth it.) Yes, it's node, but it's good.

Buy a nice laptop if they'll let you.
Other than that - if you can - buy some nice expensive CS books like TAOCP.

Why is that so bad? You gotta start somewhere. Also, bootcamps are great for meeting people.

Money can only go towards Community College program, approved bootcamps or internships. Already have a good laptop luckily.

Not saying its bad, I've been studying Python and MEAN programming on my own in fact.

Apparently the program I'm going through is funded through the H1B visa program.
Basically, Pajeet (or Pajeet's employer) is paying for all this.
