>Vertical tabs that display newer tabs on top and don't hide when I open a bookmark or history sidebar.
>Session management that can handle a dozen saved sessions and will correctly restore the history of each tab.
I can ignore the rest of the awful redesign and questionable politics. Yet they still managed to fuck it up.

You can remove the stop/refresh button or move it wherever you like and you can also indirectly move the back and forward buttons by placing buttons between them or the location bar. You still cannot remove the back and forward buttons or the location bar but you can now move them around somewhat

don't mind the botnet it was the last to load

Seems like a skewed result.
I'd prefer to see a video with a fresh install and profile and evidence that you don't have tabs open.
Not a obfuscated picture of your desktop.
>>61730432
They were all one tab, on /g/ catalog.
Test it yourself babe, you'll see firefox is still just as useless as it has always been.

But why should ram matter nowadays?
16gb is becoming mainstream. 32gb is enthusiast.
And if I have 32gb of ram. Firefox should use that. I don't want Firefox to write to disk. I don't want to re-render all the time.
Please use the ram available efficiently.

It's because most firefox users are so bitter about the retarded direction the project took that they don't call out shills anymore.

Does anyone have an issue with Keefox not auto completing logins?
What happened to that other thread with the neon firefox icon and 80s wallpapers and shit? Did one of you niglets report it? If so FUCK YOU. I was just about to open it on a different machine to get the papes. Now I have to go to a stupid board like /wg/. Fuck off.
Why does Nightly keep locking up on 4chan or youtube? Or when I try to open any video? Wtf? Is it always this bad? Only installed it on Ubuntu a few days ago for the supposed speed boosts. This is bullshit.
>>61733985
Well shit. Went back to regular Firefox and keefox works again. Goddammit, are all my extensions going to get fucked now?

Manually check for updates, Nightly has gotten a few over the course of today and the new icon is in the latest of about a couple hours at most.

Probably never cause vertical tabs uses a sidebar and afaik you can't have more than one opened.
>Session management that can handle a dozen saved sessions and will correctly restore the history of each tab.
There's an approved api for that so maybe soon.
>>61702686
Open-with will most likely require you to install additional software and it will act as a service listening for calls from the addon. Kind of sucks but got to make do.
>>61735656
Way better than the lone globe
its the 32bit flavor that has new style
>>61716499
You can use legacy addons on nightly flipping some about:config values.
All legacy extensions that are full e10s compatible should work at least for some time, the ones using shims will stop working soon.
But everybody will say that all this improvement is thanks to removing old extensions.
>>61735706
>people are using a 32bit browser in 2017

Check if you're running the latest nightly cause that it's supposed to be fixed already, if you're on the latest version try with extensions.webextensions.remote False

>>61718075
No, can't be done with the actual APIs and the requested ones got WONTFIX status, the webextensions download managers available have less features and can't use multiple segments per download.
garbage defaults already

>>61718547
Not him but it can change your user agent at random intervals from a big list and lets you whitelist sites. Although honestly spoofing your user agent doesn't really give you much of a privacy bonus because your IP remains the same, if anything an administrator looking at the logs might notice you more because one IP keeps having esoteric user agents like "opera on freebsd" which is way more uncommon that Firefox on linux or chrome on windows.
>>61711841
They are hybrid extensions, WebExtensions packaged in the old XUL extension format. The point is that the dev still has access to the old API and can export the settings/data from the add-on to the new format. They are a migration step to be later upgraded to full WE without any configuration change/loss.
damn you niggas weren't kidding
>>61702625
Cool. How can I install this on my chromebook?
>>61736355
>is it true that my Greasemonkey scripts will all work for nu-Firefox?
Greasemonkey is changing up some of the GM_* API, so some scripts will stop working. Some scripts may never work properly again due to limitations in Chrome's extension model. Chrome is designed to load the page FAST, and there is no time to wait to read user settings from the hard drive before starting to load stuff on the page.
I'm liking it a lot but getting the fonts to look right is a pain in vivaldi it just worked
>>61724990
>classicthemerestorer
The new theme is fine, I didn't like it at first either but realistically it's just rounded tabs and the menu on the right instead of the left. The newest Firefox nightlies dropped the weird icon view in the menu and it's a list again.
>download statusbar
You can just click the download icon for a quick overview or open the library if you really want to watch the download the whole time.
>cleanest addon manager
You don't need to manage your addons everyday, just use the default addon manager.
>s3.google translate
I think there are other translate addons, or you could just use the site.

>>61736048.titlebar-button:not(:hover) { background: transparent !important; }
I'm using that on the dark theme with density compact, it's a bug present if you have changed your windows theme.
if you need to change the button color you can use this:.titlebar-button:not(:hover) {
background: transparent !important;
color: white !important;
}
Ps. add the xul namespace and put it inside your userChrome.css file

Update your drivers and deactivate Flash then. I'm leaving Firefox open for weeks with several windows with hundreds of tabs, and performance stays the same. Also, are you using the 64bit version? Maybe your tabs are hitting the 4GB limit.
>>61734072
I'll bite.
Update your drivers, make sure you're using the 64bit version of Firefox, install latest uBlock Origin, update uMatrix to the latest 4chan bug fix release (if you use it), and *most importantly* flip layers.acceleration.force-enabled in about:config to true and restart - Hardware accelleration is disabled by default on Linux. This enables it.
