Hey /g/! I was thinking about good cloud drive which will store my files. I am looking for a reliable drive which isn't botnet and can store many files on it keeping them secure and private. I was wondering to go with MEGA, but I really don't know if it is botnet, and if it spies on people. What are your opinions then?
Telegram is a good choice

Every service that you did not set up is a botnet.

If something is free as in beer then you are the product.

Is it not free as in freedom?

Buy a NAS
Works fine for me. If you're afraid of spying encrypt your shit.

At least it can store many files as you want
>>61693195
It's free as in beer.

So it's not free as in beer?

I get it you haven't really look into what free software is (and probably in the end you won't care) but in any case read the following.

Can you answer the question instead of dodging it?
Is GNU Hurd free as in beer?
>>61693770
Of course no, it is free as in freedom or speech.
>>61693796
So being free as in freedom and being free as in beer implies mutual exclusivity?
>>61692979
can I safely store oppai lolis on MEGA?
>>61693806
No but one doesn't imply the other either.
>>61693847
So how much does GNU Hurd cost?
>>61693898
That makes it free as in beer.

google drive
beat the botnet with good encryption
not free unless you can manage with 15gb, ten bux for unlimited

>encrypt against botnet!
>give money to botnet!

Baidu clouds gives 2TB free space but a little complicated.
Mega is 50gb and much simpler.
>>61694422
Shit arguments. Encryption is useful in general (i.e. any service can be compromised) and no one will provide you an unlimited space for free.
>>61694401
firstly, botnet.
secondly, slow as shit.
>>61694485
360 has 36TB and it's more complicated

The wiki says mega provides 50GB the first month of free usage and then cuts down to 15GB.
But my oldest account still has 50GB, what's going on here?
