About the scrapping, how exactly it works? I see they are being put under an account named the same as si. What if that account on cat belongs on a different user? What if an uploader uses all three sites (cat,si,anidex)? Will the same torrent appear three times?

The nyaa.si scraper scrapes the front page for torrent ids then uses the api to get information.
It then checks if a username exists, if not creates a new user.
If the username exists then it inserts the torrent under that username.
And not anymore.
If an uploader uploads to all 3 different sites then if they don't upload to pantsu first it'll insert it to whatever username had it first.
Otherwise it'll just get inserted into their user on pantsu if they use the same username.
Uploaders can claim accounts as well.

You can start translating but the english translation file is a mess with lots of useless and duplicated ids and absolutely not organized. In the future there should be commented files or separated in folders by template categories. If you ever see some mistakes don't hesitate to report to akuma06 on the irc channel and to make a PR.

There is no such thing as "trusted subgroups" anymore, and if there is some, they may not pick up the thing you want. I don't usually watch seasonal stuff, so most of the time all the releases are already available for comparing when I want to pick something up. I always recommend to wait at leat until the BDs are out to choose a release. But then, comparing yourself is your best bet, the only actual help that you could find around is something like: avoid this and that "toxic" groups. But then you'll have to compare the remaigning 2-3 choices yourself.

Most don't have either of those. There are like 3 green choices and I have yet to see a commented one. I end up usually just going to the sub site directly instead to see how many seeders there are, as you cannot sort by any stats aside from the name at the moment without it throwing a server error at you. Most listings say 0 anyway so its meaningless. The only thing it lets me do is see which subgroups did a show, but it offers no assistance beyond that for the most part.

Here in Slovenia the Swedish domain name ".se" is quite popular because the word "se" basically means "yourself". As the other anon said, MPC doesn't capture softsubs. Try Ctrl-PrtSc in fullscreen, then paste it into paint.

BakedFish just re-encodes snd uploads HS releases as .mp4 instead of .mkv. The videos have hardsubs so that's why MPC screenshots capture them. Why are you even watching .mp4s anyways?
