AGI - Artificial General Intelligence
Over the past couple of weeks I have been researching into AGI and have come to the conclusion that Elon Musk and many others have come to. If done correctly it could propel our species so far forward in advancements it will be beyond imagination however all it takes is a single mistake and the most efficient extinction a species could take place.
What are your opinions on if AGI should be pursued and if it is persued, how should it be regulated?
It's a meme and you're all fucking idiots

Cheers for the bump but not quite what I'm looking for.
Noone else in fear of the inevitable artificial overlord?

>AGI
>not /agig/
missed the chance to make a new general

I'm fairly sure Elon owns the general
Hey, /g/.
How about we try and program this thing just for lulz.
Whatever happens happens.
I miss the days when quantum physics was the hot topic in pop sci.

An artificial overload would be better than whatever the fuck we have now.

>implying /g/ will ever be able to program anything of this scale
>implying /g/ can even program
>>61677020
You are implying that many from /g/ haven't already been working on this for years.
