hey /g/ I wanted to give you your opinion because who better to ask than a bunch of sweaty dudes on the internet
I want to learn C# for the sake of game development and I intend to use Unity as a game engine
if you feel that C# or Unity is not the correct path for me to go down say something
I really want you guys is opinion on where the best place to start learning C# is
also if you have any extra advice please lay it on me
I'm willing to hear anyone's opinion on the matter of pretty much anything that relates to the subject of programming and game development
>for the sake of game development

Use Boo instead its better than C#

>Boo
this is the first time I am ever hearing about this language do you have any specific links that could teach me more about it
>>61656100
not reading all that shit but c# is always the right way
I'd say Updoc is a lot better

not falling for it

It depends on how much knowledge you have in programming.
Unity is a good choice though.
I would recommand using C# instead of Javascript of Boo. People usually use C#, so you'll get more help online.
In fact, I'm curious to know why someone would recommend to use Boo.

I do have experience with programming but only with python

As someone who learnt c# before c++, you want to learn a lower level language first.
It's way easier to pick something up like c# after learning c/c++. You understand the mechanisms of how languages function far better, and it gives you more options in terms of potential development options.
Boo is python-like so you'd be familiar with the syntax if you know python
