>Speaking of Fiji, there’s been some question over whether the already shipping Vega FE cards had AMD’s Draw Steam Binning Rasterizer enabled, which is one of the Vega architecture’s new features. The short answer is that no, the DSBR is not enabled in Vega FE’s current drivers. Whereas we have been told to expect it with the RX Vega launch. AMD is being careful not to make too many promises here – the performance and power impact of the DSBR vary wildly with the software used – but it means that the RX Vega will have a bit more going on than the Vega FE at launch.

tl;dr hardware features weren't enabled, drivers may be in better shape by the time RX Vega launches

It's already at 1080 levels, with proper drivers I can easily see that improving.

This. AMD cards age great in the months following launch.

My R9 fury runs battlefield 4 on ultra settings 70-80FPS ultra, 4k.

>j-just wait

2 weeks before launch and they still don't have that shit functional.

it's depressing knowing there's so much potential in amd's cards but it's just their shitty drivers holding it back.

Note that this is particularly relevant since Vega is bandwidth limited in games right now, so DSBR should exactly address the current bottleneck on Vega gaming performance.

Until we see how successful they are at implementing this, we are basically still in the dark.

Vega is double performance over RX 480

i'm happy and will updrage asap
