i know gnome has some comfy tools but if you want to use somthing without bloat gnome is not the way to go. The fun thing with this DE is that the older version had alot of opotions and programs that where easy to disable but the so smart devs decided to make it all in their custom language without even giving the end user the chance to disable those tools. you could chmod -x if you dont like certain programs runing do.
