I won't miss Flash on the web but Flash the program is the most pleasant vector editor I've ever used.

It's so easy to make, modify, and combine shapes in it, more pleasant than illustrator or freehand.

I had some fag on /f/ earlier say HTML5 can't do fucking procedural animation.
Literally making shit up now.
JS has been capable of procedural generation since the thing existed. Was limited, sure, but still capable of creating something from a base / seed.
It can even be done on the PSPs horrible web-browser where half the damn JS spec is disabled because Sony cheaped out.

The biggest issue HTML5 presents with regards to replacing Flash is lack of a common file format structure.
Can't compile binary to an HTML file, it fails to render.
Only method is using an external compression program, say 7zip, zip your projects assets together, base64 them, paste in to file.
You now have a single HTML file you can pass around.
Person opens file, the JS reverses the base64 encode, decompresses the 7zip archive (there are libraries for this), assigns blobs, gives URLs if required, assigns to a data container of choice.
Fiddly as fuck, but this is the price we pay for letting Google rule the world.
