There was a bug in a TV I bought where image pre-processing was enabled even after disabling causing input lag when using the TV as a screen for console gaming, making it painful to use.

Since the TV was 6 months old, the manufacture no longer released updates for it, even when there are serious bugs.

Elaborate. I haven't had problems with Sublime (yet) but I want something that'll stay fast even when I load larger projects.

oh yeah atom is just unbearable.. i've seen some coworkers using vscode which seems good but i think it's in electron as well?

i'm using vim since a few months ago - i installed it for fun to see what the fuss was about, but after playing a little bit it won me over. and it doesn't seem to care about large files, and it's really good at moving around lots of different files from different places.

just CtrlP(fuzzy file name search) and ack.vim(search in files, using ag which is crazy fast)

I generally try to add plugins or remap stuff after I learn the vanilla way and see if i like it or not, I don't want to overload it with a million plugins just so it feels like sublime - no point in changing in this case.

btw random tip: if you're on linux you can make sublime use ag for searching in files - your searches will be so much faster.
