Enough with the hate and start loving! <3
"Internet for people,
not profit."
Does anyone else try to integrate as much into the Mozilla ecosystem? You know, as a way to avoid the botnet?
>Firefox for daily desktop use

The firefox is a meme.
Whole mozilla foundation is a meme.
>>61621437
Meme or not, it's better than a botnet.
>>61621415
And people say there are no shills on 4chan?
Firefox is awesome
>>61621415
Thanks, but I prefer companies which main focus is making a good product.
Mozilla's current number one priority is equal representation and the product comes second.
>inb4 ff57 is literally ded
NO! Firefox 57 will be glorious! Photon will be Glorious! E10s showed us just how glorious things could be, imagine what Photon will give!
>>61621465
Pocket + Bookmarks + Photon = Hnnnnnng
>>61621465
DOA
>>61621465
I do like Photon, but I detest how they moved the bookmark button
>>61621480
cute
Should rename this thread to /SJW General/ so you cunts can have your shitty thread moved to >>/lgbt/ where it belongs.
>>61621446
It's not shilling. There's multiple posts a day regarding Firefox/Mozilla. Are those not considered shilling? At least this thread tries to break circlejerk.
>>61621460
Now THIS is a meme. Did you forget that Google did pic related?
>>61621484
It'll attract more users, Mozilla needs a large enough market share to propel their vision. >>61621489
Huh? It should still be movable.
>>61621502
faggots like you are the ones making this about sj(e)w and lgbt by mentioning it continuously.
pic related is how beautiful Fennec will look like with Photon.
>>61621545
>>61621415
Thanks mozilla
They still bealiving on the existence of a browser without being botnet.
>>61621415
Thank you Mozilla, you did good creating the Rust community that triggers the unemployed spergs on /g/ and beats up their /pol/ friends.

>>61621570
Note that's just a mockup based on previous rumors, with how Nightly is currently heading the search bar will be much wider and the bookmark star will be closer to the bookmark list, if that's what you wanted.
Like in pic related
>>61621454
It's nice to see that they are actually trying again and not just adding bloat and making what was once a fast and good browser slower and slower.
These rather new efforts don't change the fact that Mozilla has turned into a shitty SJW company with a homepage that looks like they are UNICEF or some kind of human aid charity. Take a glance at mozilla's website, what would you guess they were about if you didn't know they're supposedly a technology company?
>>61621650
Umm... a non profit organization *for people*? That's not necessarily a bad thing. Mozilla wants to help keep the internet free for the developed world while also bringing it to the third world.
>>61621415
I'll pass. I prefer functional and well developed software over SJW crap.
>>61621415
>new goodies
Name one useful thing they added in the last year m8
If there is a thread; I might as well ask
What is this Mozilla icon doing everywhere? I've seen it in multiple sites
for example, in msn.com
>>61621454
>Not pictured: chrome scoring 200+
>>61621757
It's functional and well developed, and will be more so with the coming of Photon. Firefox is neither more or less SJW than your typical silicon valley company. Apple has a gay ceo and Google OS aggressively targeting the pajeets.
>>61621797
An improved new tab page and Firefox Screenshots.
>>61621650
I don't disagree that Mozilla is a SJW company but so is Google and pretty much every giant tech company. The majority of people in the west are what we on 4chan call SJWs (although very few are the kind of extremes you hear about here) so it makes sense that companies make it a part of them to care about gender and racial issues, just how eating healthy and organic is modern so food companies adjust to the market by selling these kind of items.
As for the website, Mozilla is a company that actually is more than just Firefox. Their goal has always been to fight monopolization on things on the Internet. Firefox for example was created as an alternative to Internet Explorer, and their goal was actually for even more web browsers to exist on the market to give people a choice but unfortunately we're pretty much back in the pre-Firefox age with Chrome now being the new Internet Explorer. The design, though, is, at least in my opinion, complete shit and feels a bit like when you load a website but the CSS fails to be applied.
>>61621650
>Take a glance at mozilla's website, what would you guess they were about if you didn't know they're supposedly a technology company?
I would guess that it's an organization that wants to free us from the botnet and prevent corporations from monopolizing the internet
>>61621480
this animation is actually nice compared to that shitty stop/refresh one
>>61621415
>faggots appreciation thread
>>61621510
the difference is google's SJW shit doesn't have a negative impact on chrome, which is consistently faster and has less memory leaks than fireshit
The language in this thread reeks of shill. The people posting in this thread definitely have not been coming to /g/ for very long, everything just seems like it's being read off a script designed for social media websites with some limited /g/ buzzwords sprinkled in.
>twice as many posts as posters
>>61621948
Only faggots can sense other faggots, you fag.
>>61621950
Sure, instead their SJW has an impact on their botnet ads which constantly promote things like pic related while also serving up even more botnet ads
Firefox used to be the browser I used for 5 years, then one day I got super frustrated with how sluggish it was and went straight to chrome. I have not looked back on my decision
>>61621415
>appreciating their shitty decisions when it comes to FF
>appreciating their degenerate SJW culture
Thanks but no fucking thanks
>>61621891
>unfortunately
IE was only bad because they used their monopoly position to stop caring about updating their browser and left it several years behind current standards with gaping security holes. Chrome doesn't have these problems because it actually complies to modern web standards better than FF (quite significantly so, it's not IE6-tier but I have to create hacks to get some websites working in FF), and is regularly patched. Even fucking Edge is better than FF in terms of speed, memory usage (although it's also better than Chrome in this regard - UWP is the one good thing about new Winshit), and standards compliance.
Firefox is dying and has been dying since 3.5, just about everyone I know who used Firefox (literally everybody 5 years ago) has either moved to Chrome/some Chromium fork or another Firefox fork - The only people still using it are just too used to it to change but they always complain about how slow it is and how much memory it uses. Time to jump off the Fireshit train, it served its purpose during the IE days but it's been on a steep downwards trajectory for a long time.
>>61622003
google (the search engine) doodles are unrelated to google chrome (the web browser) apart from the fact that google is the default homepage for chrome, and i haven't seen ads on the internet in 10 years so i don't know what you're talking about
>>61621415
Vivaldi is better, so is SeaMonkey if you're ramlet.
>>61622078
Chrome might be complying to web standards for now, but remember that Chrome growth is still much slower than when Internet Explorer came along, and it still hasn't reached IE's 90% market share monopoly. But even you can notice Google slowly beginning to abuse their dominant position.
>Google Earth is Chrome only
>hangouts only work properly on Chrome
>YouTube thumbnail previews only on Chrome/Chromium base
>can't upload folders to Google Drive outside Chrome
>bullshit forced down on you AMP sites
And most recently
>integrated "adblocker"
Mozilla made a lot of good things for open source community. I sincerely wish all the best things for them. Though, it's very sad that they're Google whores now. Anyway, I still believe them and believe that they're still trying to make web open.
>>61621859
Chrome is still a lot faster, yeah, but at least it shows Mozilla has actually worked on improving the performance. We'll see just how big the gap is by November when Firefox 57 is released and all parts of Project Quantum should be implemented.
That SJW talk is just hillarous. Anons, that write all these hate posts are really stupid for believing that SJW is something more than a smoke wall to make big companies look less evil.
>>61622159
None of those things have anything to do with the quality of the browser itself though, Google is showing no signs of becoming complacent like IE did and stopping development of Chrome. They're still aggressively pursuing new webstandards.
I don't see how using their own websites as a platform to advertise their own webbrowser is a bad thing, any company can create their own YouTube/Google Earth/Google Docs, it's not Google's problem if their own services are better than the alternatives.
>install ff
>customize it to comfy levels
>kind of slow and has issues but no botnet
>open chromium and its 10x faster
Goddammit, I was just getting a bit comfy with FF. What's that chrome clone that gets rid of the botnet stuff?
>>61621987
like newfags from /pol/ are any better. nice double standards you have here
>>61621502
Dis^
>>61621415
i use pocket every day but holy shit when will they get off their asses and add good, useful features
>>61622078
>but it's been on a steep downwards trajectory for a long time.
True, but the only alternative would be shit based on Chrome, which has its own issues.
Sinking ship manned by SJWs.
