I prefer Emby because it's somewhat more flexible and customizable, especially if you're willing to use its API to DIY some shit. That's why I switched away from Plex at least, but both are pretty meh.

Plex suffers from an excessive dose of the macfag "it just werks" attitude to the point that doing anything slightly different is unnecessarily cryptic/difficult and Emby could use a bit more polish and also suffers from some strange (at the very least) decisions in terms of how its transcoding works.

I've been using it since june 2016 and its served me super well. Love it and helps me keep track of my library in an easy way. Especially great when I want to watch a movie in the living room off of my computer.

I like it personally. just werks, never had major issues with it apart from not finding artwork on a few things.

good mobile apps and streaming options.

I like it a lot. Considering getting the lifetime premium. My only major complaint is that it's hard to do batch edits of metadata on shows.

I fucking hate Silvers

It's a closed source fork of xbmc. I've not heard any compelling arguments as to why I'd use it instead of xbmc anyway. No thanks.

Kodi has no server at all, it's not really comparable to what Plex and Emby do nowadays.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
