>software is called AdBlock
>doesn't actually block ads
>only hides them
What did they mean by this?
ok

Old people?

Will sites still gain money if i use uBlock Origin?
on rooted android you can install a blocker that blocks all ads in all forms
unfortunately it blocks porn too so I don't use it anymore
>>61586165
You don't see the ads, and the ad fuckers still get their revenue.
>>61586491
If you mean Adaway, it stopped blocking youtube ads for me like 2 months ago(on 4g connection).
Any idea why?
>not blocking ads with DNS
>not blocking ads on router without fucking with hostfiles
>not using adguard DNS on router
>not blocking ads on all devices connected to that router
plebs
>>61586614
>have to use a specific dns just to block ads
lol cuck
>>61586376
no. as far as i can tell, ublock just ignores the ad. a much better strategy would be to begin downloading the ad but stop after a couple of bytes, to trick the site into thinking the ad had been displayed.
>>61586614
excuse me, you appear to be using an adblocker! you'll get to see your filthy interracial trap porn content when you deactivate it!
>>61587324
>have to root phones and install bloat to block ads
lol cuck
>>61587435
>having root access
>cuck
pick one
also you don't need to install anything to block ads you can just modify the hosts file directly
>>61587426
I use adbypasser, i never ever see those messages
>>61587410
ads aren't that large and ads only care about your browser fingerprint anyways
>>61587435
>implying there is another way to apply systemwide adblocking
Which ad blocker actually blocks ads?
>>61586361
Old people would search "ad block" in the addon repository, find "AdBlock" and "AdBlock Plus", and download "AdBlock Plus" because it has "Plus".
>>61588475
but there is
>>61586614
>>61588599
>>61586165

>simple
>faster
>safer
>no cpu usage
>no bandwith usage
>>61586614
>not blocking ads with DNS

>>61591999
http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/
how to I put this on my windows host file?
>>61594030
https://adguard.com/en/adguard-dns/instruction.html#router
>>61591999
But muh cosmetic filters
>>61594049
Copy and paste it?
>>61594817
It's better to use opendns/google dns + openvpn +edit host file than to rely on adguard
>>61587435
