Maybe instead of increasing moore's law by making processors smaller we will increase moore's law by making massively paralell processors all invidiually very weak but when combined in a threadsafe way made very potent.

Certain things just can't be parallelized at all.
I would say that the holy grail of computing is to make several cores run a single code somehow.

Wow it's almost like people haven't already tried that (they have). Look up Xeon Phi, it's exactly that, for the few rare applications that need highly parallel x86.
