Also, any monetization of the web only increases the possibilities of it. If there was no money to be made, no one would care about it.

But that's wrong. Money is a means to an ends, not the other way around, silly jew. If people care about something they're willing to spend money on it. Your way of thinking is poisonous and sickening, to be quite frank.

Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and any other social media website.
9gag, Buzzfeed, Reddit and other "meme sharing" sites where normies reside.
Any "news" media site for spewing biased bullshit propaganda (Huffpost, Brietbart, CNN, Washpost...)
Youtube, for allowing lazy bedroom slacktivists to make a living off rambling into a camera.
Any community funding sites (kikestarter etc.)
4chan for being home to a bunch of pedo weeabo fags
Dating sites, including Tinder, for inflating the female ego. Same goes for Instagram, Snapchat and similars.
DevianArt, for hosting the absolute worst drawings I have ever seen.
Google, for monopolizing search engines and pretty much everything they touch.

I agree. The only people the ads exploit are those who are vulnerable to these sorts of things, who tend to be elderly, or young kids, or people with weak minds. Disappointing, but money can make people do anything.
>>
Facebook for basically creating the modern social media phenomenom, made it a norm for the masses to share real life information instead of thinking security first, created a culture where literally everyone is encouraged to constantly spout retarded shit and think narcissisticly highly of themselves, and made it with Google an ok thing to stalk your users in an unfathomable scale.

Modern news sites for displaying nothing but a simple html page with an article's worth of plaintext, yet requiring thousands of lines of code and dozens of different JS scripts for each page load.

Any web site that falls in love with with technology, and instead of making it simple and lightweight, fills it with fancy yet redundant scripts and features that require a decent cpu to even run, and has the size in megabytes even if disregarding any possible pictures.

Any site that requires you to register in order to browse.

These as well. They basically killed off every forum that had tutorials with screenshots.

Facebook and YouTube as they are walled gardens. Somebody might have had the same problem with his computer as you do. You search for the issue but don't find it anymore, as it's not on some public forum but some proprietary californian Zuckerberg site.
That fucking sucks.
Same applies to YouTube. So many tutorials, people discussing in the comments but you cannot search it.

You will never find solutions if you can't even search.

reddit as it lulled anons into giving up their anonymity. RIP in shit, dirtbags.

Google, but only because they claim it's acceptable to have one account for everything.
Fucking cocksuckers.

People don't realize there's an alternative. The other day I was with my brother trying to watch a movie on his laptop plugged into the tv. For some reason he streamed it, just getting the websites to work at all was a hassle because there was a nonstop barrage of pop ups and ads. The entire screen was filled with ads and everywhere you clicked would cause two or three more links to open. There were so many his entire laptop basically froze, it took a few minutes to register a click, trying to change to another tab resulted in massive lag. I kept telling him he should get an adblocker, and that maybe the reason things were so slow was all the ads. He agreed but I could tell he didn't quite realize how fucked it was, he just accepted that as the way the internet works. I mentioned it a few more times and he finally said "I don't know how to install an adblocker". I wanted to tell him it's just a few clicks and doesn't take some huge software install but I didn't want to seem like some elitist snob, and I didn't want to do it for him; as a rule I avoid ever using other people's computers because I don't want to accidently stumble onto their porn or whatever might be in their history/search history/tab suggestions or whatever.

In the end it turned out he had the entire movie downloaded anyways, not sure why he didn't just go to that in the first place
