hey guys. wanted to discuss installing new graphics cards. so you're supposed to uninstall nvidia drivers if you're upgrading to amd, but do you have to uninstall drivers if you're going from, say, a 9 series card to a 10 series card?

If so, leave it alone. Otherwise, uninstall it and reinstall the appropriate driver. I'd appreciate it if you left this board forever.

Presumably you aren't running Windows 98, in which case it literally doesn't matter since the OS will figure out that it should stop using the old driver and await the installation of the new driver.

I went from a 560 ti 448 to a gtx 1050 ti with no driver change (ofc I've reinstalled since the upgrade) with no issues.
