Out of interest, what's wrong with it?
I had problems with nicotine, the biggest one was that I couldn't download from a lot of people for no apparent reason, with no error messages etc.
I filed an issue and apparently the maintainer fixed it and pushed it to git; since then I haven't had that problem any more. If it happens a lot, I really wouldn't care too much about using the proprietary client desu
