Will wrong polarity adapter damage a modem?
Also, what does separately flashing power light and dsl light mean? Overcurrent?

>Will wrong polarity adapter damage a modem?
no because 99,99% of DC adapters work with inverse polarity or line-line (250V).

What do you mean by adapters work?
There are adapters on which polarity can be chosen. Say I put negative on it and gave it to modem that wants positive.

if that's the case don't bother, it won't damage your equipment
select to - or + until it works

Thanks.
But I'm of the understanding that unless there's a protector, diode stuff can be damaged.
Separate question.
What about using 1A instead of recommended 0.5A

Ohm's law
>>61536383
It won't draw that much unless it has a short circuit or it's a resistor or something (like a regular bulb)
>>61536383
It only takes what it needs

wHAT HAPPENS IF I USE 100A?
>>61537321
Same, though it might make the transformer have a fit especially if it has some sort of digital regulator.
Voltage is the one you need to look out for. But having less amps means weird stuff can happen, though mostly the device just wont work.

Also, where on earth would you find a 100A DC transformer? And what would it even be normally used for?
The power box on my house has a 30A fuse wire in it. And I live in Australia.

Just wondering how i can kill someone with electricity whilst i'm a hundred miles away
