It doesn't work at all for me.
This might be the dumbest thing I've read all day.
I did on my portable install, I remember having to modify the script in some way, I think it was pointing to the wrong compat directory at the time or some shit, I think this was more than a year ago now.

Since Steam works on BSD and you can install whatever on the PS4 you could run it, since the PS4 already runs FreeBSD even running Steam on Linux on the PS4 still means running it inside the FreeBSD based hypervisor.
PS3 had Steam integration officially. To this day you can still log in with your PSN credentials.

FreeBSD specifically is notorious in regards to digital graphics, it's used in just about every major render farm you can think of and obviously video game companies use it, not just Sony. This might have something to do with how easy it is to write and test drivers for FreeBSD that allows them to utilize the hardware better, I'm not actually sure why it often outperforms the competition.
