Actually, this poster might have point. They have a curriculum and everything.

HSP is probably a decent language to teach to absolute beginners simply due to how ridiculously liberal the syntax is, but it's probably not a good language to stick to if you intend to move onto what are considered 'good' programming practices. I always thought it was weird that Java is taught in so many places as an introductory language given how many hoops it can force you to jump through.
