hi /g/,
im not normally on here but i have a question and i hope someone here could answer it.
I will be purchasing a new laptop, and im hoping to get something simple but something that can run linux smoothly. i will mainly be programming and browsing the internet on it, maybe playing some oldschool runescape here and there but thats about it. preferably if the laptop could run Windows 7 if I one day changed my mind, that would be good to.
my budget is only about 650$ USD so anything under that please.
could you recommend something for me?

The best models are regarded to be the xx20 series. You'll probably want a T420, which has a 14" screen if you want larger screen size. The screen on both of them is 1366x768, however, so the X220 (12.5" screen) will look sharper.
