Germans are typically respectful, civilized human beings unlike their Russian foes...

I trust them enough to use their browser.

nice blogpost

Even as an iphone user, I can't justify buying a mac, in my head. You can just install any OS on any computer, you know?

I'm asking this as a serious question.

Is ungoogled-chromium better than Iridium, or vice versa?
>>
>>61520694
>>61520735
I'm on Gentoo running a meticulously crafted & customized version of KDE, retard
>>
>>61520735
imo, I prefer iridium. It actually has a website and a team of developers with an overall goal in mind.

Ungoogled Chromium is maintained by some CIA nigger that rarely pushes new updates.
>>
>>61520556
Its not bad but still phones home to google.
Also, not that it matters but, the default search engine is shit.
>>
>>61520871
Where's your evidence?

ungoogled-chromium doesn't phone home. Couldn't some of it be salvaged for use in Iridium to achieve the same effect?
>>
>>61520784
>gentoo
screenfetch or it never happened.
>>
>>61520735
does this answer your question?
>>
>>61520889
You can't ungoogle chromium.
Nice try though, At least you believe in your delusions.
>>
>>61520934
No not really they are both cia shit
>>
>>61520954
eloston copies most of his code from Iridium to use on his kiddie Ungoogled version, kek

You're retarded.

Chromium is open source. All of Google's phone-home code lies naked in the source code, and can be removed at the programmer's discretion.

I asked for proof that Iridium phones home to Google. So far, it has not been provided. The burden of proof is on you. When the source-code is plain to see on Git, there simply is no defensible way to assume it is botnet by default and must prove itself innocent. That way lies rampant paranoia and severely autistic speculation.

>and because its open source I have alot more privacy from nsa hehe
>and and because its open sores it uses less wam on my computer

Also unless you've gone through every single bit of code there is possibly to look at then you can't confirm this. Open source doesn't save you from everything anon.
>>
>>61520598
It works.

I don't have to because programmers have already combed through it.

Namely, the Iridium Project.

For fuck's sake, this is why programmers organize instead of rely on a lone man "going through every single bit of code."

Nice fucking strawman. Totally invisible. The point is, Chromium's been out for a long, long time. And if Iridium is still calling Google, despite the fact that it'd go noticed by someone on Github, then clearly someone should be able to offer me even a SINGLE shred of proof that packets are sent to Google.

But again, you deflect rather than do this simple task. Even if you're a winfag, just open up CMD, launch Iridium, install plugins, updates, what have you, and just see if it even for one instant calls Google.

Go pick on Opera or something else that's just as laughable.
>>
>>61520735
ungoogled-chromium is better but it's unmaintained, so go with Iridium.
