Image Glass is slow.

Picasa is the fastest from what I've used until now. And it's nice because you can use a transparent background for the window, so you only see the image.

Plus zooming in and out in Picasa is very smooth, compared to ImageGlass.

Google made a mistake to discontinue Picasa development. Well, I guess it wasn't doing much for their cloud botnet services.

irfanview is the best option. batch image processing is on point, loads files faster than other viewers, views plain text files and other formats if you download the first-party plugin pack. I run it in Wine under Linux. That's how much I like it.

Imagine (the Korean one) because it is a full browser + viewer with Unicode support and archive support.

Other than those I use ACDsee Classic 2.4, because I'm too used to it. Imagine is very close to it, but it sorts files differently and can't browse according to sort order (or I can't seem to find how).

There's no advantage to the 64-bit version other than extremely large images. The disadvantages are install size and plugin compatibility. But you can just install both.
