C# is pretty decent, if you want to make a cool little GUI app you can fix one up in half an hour quite easily (in Visual Studio anyway) and iirc it's easily to implement database bs. Or you can use it for Unity etc.
Outside of this I've only ever used it for junk like SteamKit.
