Hello guys,
I guess it has been talked about already but I researched Silicon Valley season 4 and I really like Richards idea

I am not as good in IT. Is this new internet possible and if yes, why we did not do it already?
what's the point of a 'new internet'?
just use usenet or tor if you're desperate

it is no desperation, it is the concept that fascinates me. A decentralized intert could change the world.
I just want to know if it's possible

The instant the public created an unregulated, non-overseen network where they can cooperate anonymously, the FCC would use its executive power to (((shut it down))) since its "on the public airwaves!" and "needs to be regulated for the good of (((the children, anti-terrorism, pedophile-entrapment, drug-dealer-entrapment, protection-from-Russia, protection-from-Hackerz, etc...)))"
Look up cjdns for meshnets and ipfs for distributed storage.

And not just the FCC. How are you going to make a good internet without it being international / worldwide?
Hell, even if x countries end up completely ignoring that network it'll still be a problem since they will also ignore active sabotage.

so the current internet fascinates you?

> no firewalls
It's basically the technology behind ethereum but since it's fiction, it's much faster and cooler. Maybe in 5 years we'll see it take off. But some dapps exist already.
