I have this old intel thinkpad x130e that i want use as a linux machine and i see people her shilling gentoo. How hard is it for a linux noob to learn it and where can i learn how to use.
Install source mage gnu/linux instead, is perfect and more easy to install

Our numbers grow, you can't stop us
I've been using Linux for 6 months now, use Arch, tried Gentoo, gave up after compiling the kernel 3 times and still not having a booting machine

I'm itching to install gentoo. I'm already used to apt and Debian/systemd way of doing things. Will it be hard to switch to OpenRC. I spent a long time using void/runit.
It wouldn't be worth the compile time unless you are fine with updating every 2 weeks or more.
