Hello, I could use your help to solve an issue I have. I want to find a way to run a simple app that requires windows mobile 4.0 on android. I do have 6 PDA's, but having all in my phone would be easier. App itself is simple data entry program for farm management software, so it should not be too taxing on hardware.
I could not find any info on google as all the results are ''run android app on windows mobile 10''...
Thank's in advance.

Is it because of differences in architecture?

They're two extremely different beasts, not to mention closed source, running the same app on android is out of the question unless you can develop a virtual machine for android that can somehow run windows mobile 10.
The only sane option is to create another app that does the same thing

Okay, First things first - why does everyone bring up 'win mobile 10'? Isn't win mobile 4.0 or 6.0 older and easier to run?
Second, how complicated would be to modify win 4.0 program to run on android. all it does is you input text, for example - I record in option field 1 '0000' (animal), in second 'LYL' (breed) in third 'T1' (service), then pres ok. Sync it with mobile sync and upload to program (Porcitec swine) and it generates a new animal and service for it. Should not be too complicated to modify? Sorry if what I say makes no sense as my biggest achievement in computers ever was to copy a crack for 'red alert 2' and reinstall windows afterwards.

android ART is basically a lightweight version of the jvm for touchscreen devices. assuming the original app is written in c# it should not be too difficult as java is pretty similar
