This is my guest/travel rig, watching my dads house and puppers while he's away for a few days.
Gtx1080 I got from a friend in return for doing some folding for him. Going in the old ghetto 1366 cube iwaki pump rig soon, just need to figure out vrm cooling with only a core gpu block.

This i5 is quite nice tho, boost to 3.6ghz on all cores when gaming. Too bad h61 doesn't allow overclocking.

x5660, they run about the same price as x5650 and have higher multiplier.

There was someone here that had one of the lowend gigabyte x58 boards, and I think it either didn't support the hexa xeons or couldn't overclock. It was the board with 3+1 memory slots tho, so not yours. Go for it.
Update to the latest bios first tho.
