well my laptop has been saying for the last 2 weeks or so operating system not found and i have been trying to fix it but it hasent worked but today i started it up and it started doing this loading thing and it has been doing it for 20 minutes and i was wondering if that just means it is loading in my harddrive because i recently dusted off my harddrive just to make sure

Nope, this isn't fixed.
You either have a bad hard drive or a bad installation of Windows on the laptop.
If you run into problems, it's most likely a faulty hard drive.
