Okay, this might be the wrong board for this. But does anyone want to point me in the right direction on how to track a phone call? like you know, put a dot on a map in a rough area where it came from.
You need to have access to the back end of a telephone carrier. Ideally the one associated with the caller. That's it.

"Rough" is an understatement. At best you'll get a map of which town/city a number is registered in. That says nothing about where a particular call was placed from if, for example, it's a cell phone. Registration data is basically useless.
