>go in for programming job interview
>notice a bunch of people working there have not just one, but two buttons unbuttoned on their shirts, exposing their chests
Is this place too casual?

Depends if they looked like they've been slaving or just chilling
it's july
Go look at the employees.
Never outdress the employees when going into the interview.
If they're not dressed super professionally, do not come in wearing a suit.

>Buttoned shirts
No casual enough.

It's a business you neet

Yes
Had a coworker at a former job that walked around with chest hair hanging out. One button at most
>apply for front end job
>clean myself up maximum tidy
>interview goes well
>during talk boss' top shirt button comes off
>head IT guy pokes fun at him for having a thick neck
>try to make a joke myself
>seems like your button broke I can debug that ha ha
>they both stare at me in complete silence
Suffice it to say I didn't get the job.

>Tech business
>Button down shirts
Sounds like it's the non-/g/ division of that business then. Do you really have to wear a monkey suit to work? Get a CS job fagit

>go in for programming job interview
>notice a bunch of women working there have not just wearing shorts, but wearing no pants at all, exposing their legs
Fuck wearing formal business attire everyday. I got moved to a small satellite office when I made senior developer, and we wear whatever the fuck we want (15 people total). I don't want to go back.
I would wonder more about their hygiene because they aren't wearing an undershirt.
You are just gonna fuck up your nice shirts with pit stains.
>Having a dress code
>Not getting to wear whatever you want to work
Why haven't you quit already?

>tech company with a dress code
Major red flag.
