Unironically all these programs are shit
There is a reason that emacs and vi have survived since the 80s, because they aren't closed source shitware designed for a gaymen system

notepad++ is easily the worst editor. Thankfully my platform doesn't even have it. I'd rather write in notepad t.b.h.
Normally I use acme, sometimes sam and rarely ed.
Sublime 3
Other than the barrier to entry, is there any reason not to use vim?
>>61470303
vim, but only because I don't know how to get out
>>61472675
If you know how to use vim, use it. Same with emacs. It's just more convenient to use nano/notepad++.
>>61470303
Java -> intelliJ
Python/JS & C -> sublime text
remote/config files -> vim
emacs because im superior to everyone else

You can also install Kate on windows. Truly no reason to use notepad++

Notepad, and atom when I have no other choice on my laptop.
The Win7 our "PC guy" installed on my desktop 7 years ago is some sort of l33t h4xx0r botnet version ("LastOS" I think) with extra themes, some debloat and a complete, seamless replacement of notepad with notepad++, which is its only merit desu. It also has some marginally useful registry entries for right-click menus.
