If you want to run FreeBSD then run it on a server. Use whatever Linux distro or macOS on your desktop to ssh into the FreeBSD server.

pbi is literally incompatible with the ports tree, and Lumina literally exists just for the sake of having a BSD-licensed DE.

Lumina is my favorite desktop environment
