Why do i feel like im the only Delphi programmer here? It is a good language. FMX lib are native cross-platform.(Win32, Win64, Linux, MacOS, Android and iOS). It is very fast to write applications and very comprehensible code (not like c/c++).

I know anon, but so are others and while Lazarus felt glorious when I used it back at school I simply forgot how it works.
Also, I'm not willing to pay several hundreds of bucks for shit n giggles.

Because most of /g/ is not interested in real world work, just meme academic shit like functional programming languages.

You can't be a code artisan if you use delphi.
I used to use Delphi loads but gave up cause nobody seemed to be using it/employing people who used it. It was really nice.

What do they make money with, then?

I used to program in Delphi and even have that new Embarcadero installed (they gave it away for free a while back), but I just don't like the idea that I'm bound to a company like that.
Still, one of my favorite programs is written in delphi, but barely updated anymore (Keynote NF) and I really really want to have the option added to compress AND encrypt instead of having to choose between the two.
Also, it's a nice language to quickly make reasonably fast desktop apps, without being bound to some VM like .NET or Java.
