The power users use a customizable script blocker such as umatrix. I want every script blocked that isnt required for the website (this includes ads as well) with the ability to selectively enable which scripts I want running.

Except you don't have to in any way "force" your way into a website when you have your adblock disabled (unless it's a website with an anti-adblock, which are still pretty rare). It's more like having an art galley with the door left wide open with a sign next to it that says "please pretty please leave $0.05 in this basket if you go inside".
