Hey g/, is this worth it at $100??
>>61431688
I wouldn't pay it. Just get any old amp. The older it is the more likely caps have gone bad. Pay money if you like the look. After .000whatever percent distortion, they all sound the same.

give it back shanikwa
>>61431688
Nope.
You can get brand-name gear cheaper.
I got a Sansui D55X off the nature strip.
Works perfectly.
You don't need any of this dumb bullshit.

It doesn't look like $100 worth of amplifier to me.

If you can't replace the caps on an old amp, you don't belong on this board. It is such an incredibly easy task that a twelve year old could reliably do with some slight training.

Are you saying it looks like it's worth $10,000?
Circuit diagrams frighten me.

got pic related for a little less than 40

No one gives a shit faggot
I hope you die today

Meh, basic 1970s-era transistor amp. I'd bet even money it thumps when you turn it on but I can't tell for sure just from the schematic. I'd offer $50, tops, if in full working order.
What's the ideal place to pick up this kind of stuff? Garage Sales? eBay? Craigslist?
>>61432172
here's a pic of the back

Garage sales are great, if you have electronics repair skills or want to develop them. I remember the rush of getting an adorable little Kenwood amp working back in the day when I was learning analog stuff.

Currently got a Technics SL3300 and some barebones amp and preamp. Hooked up to some huge 70s Jensen speakers. The turntable works flawlessly except the repeat lever doesn't function correctly so the records just loop endlessly. I've been tinkering with little success. But I think I may still look into learning this stuff

>he was too stupid to replace a cap before he was 12
Why didn't your parents abort you? I can't even imagine the embarrassment and shame they must live with every day.

My little Kenwood's problem was just a blown driver transistor, where T303 is on the Polyvox schematic. That turntable problem sounds a bit more mechanical than I would want to take on atm.
