Why do you not use Perl, anon?
Because Ruby is better.

Great jokes both of you

Because I don't want to get indoctrinated.
I got my life long dose of Perl a couple of years ago and almost dieded.
I want to learn perl6for (1..^100) {
given ($_) {
when $_ %% 15 { say "FizzBuzz"}
when $_ %% 3 { say "Fizz"}
when $_ %% 5 { say "Buzz"}
default { say $_}
}
}

My GNU\Linux boss (wizard) said it was a dead language senpai

bc PYTHON fits my l33t h4xx needs
bc Python isn't a meme SJW script kiddies fable as Rust or Go.
TL;DR

Give me a couple more weeks and I'll join you Perl monks.

I haven't really found a place for it yet. C + shell glue has been serving me well enough lately. I use a Perl-based gopher server though if that counts.

fuck Python. Honestly, using it makes me miserable. I have to learn it for my new job and all I'm learning while picking it up is that it's a grossly dumbed down language, for no reason other than Guido Said So®

It has the Angular problem, you can't make an incompatible rewrite after everyone jumped on your initial design. If they really wanted to go a different way with perl 6 they shouldn't of taken so long.
I hope they don't be too strict with Perl 6, is spectacularly good for web app obfuscation.
